How do I format (beautify) JSON?

Paste your JSON, choose an indent of 2 spaces, 4 spaces or tabs, and press View JSON. The Formatted tab shows the indented JSON ready to copy.

How do I check if my JSON is valid?

Paste it and press View JSON. If it is invalid you will see what is wrong and the exact line and column, for example a missing comma or quote.

Can I minify JSON?

Yes. After viewing, open the Minified tab to get the JSON on a single line with all unnecessary whitespace removed.

Is my JSON stored anywhere?

No. Your JSON is processed to build the page and is not saved.
