CSV to JSON: frequently asked questions
How do I convert CSV to JSON?
Paste your CSV or upload a .csv file and press Convert to JSON. The first row becomes the keys and every other row becomes an object.
Will numbers like PIN codes and phone numbers be changed?
No. Numbers with a leading zero, such as 011001, and numbers longer than 15 digits, such as card and account numbers, stay as text so nothing is lost.
Which delimiters are supported?
Comma, semicolon, tab and pipe. Leave it on Detect automatically and the converter works it out from the first lines.
How are empty cells handled?
Choose empty text (""), null, or leaving the key out of the object altogether.
