JSON to CSV: frequently asked questions
How do I convert JSON to CSV?
Paste your JSON or upload a .json file and press Convert to CSV. Each object becomes a row and its keys become the header row. Copy the result or download the .csv file.
What happens to nested objects and arrays?
With flattening on, nested objects become dotted columns like address.city. Lists of plain values become "a, b, c" in one cell, and lists of objects are kept as JSON text.
What if my JSON has several lists?
An object like {"users": [...], "orders": [...]} gives one CSV per list, each with its own download.
Why does Excel show strange characters in my CSV?
Excel needs a UTF-8 BOM to read non-English text and the ₹ sign correctly. Keep "Add a UTF-8 BOM" ticked.
